Josie Jupiter

Josie runs Puzzle Dust Circus and teaches Hoop Dance, Fire Twirling and Circus workshops across Melbourne and on the Gold Coast. Josie has been Fire Twirling for over 10 years. In 2008 she discovered Hoop Dance and quickly became addicted to this new style of hula hooping which uses larger, heavier hoops and offers both meditative and fitness benefits. Her classes have since featured in The Age, Bulletin, Sun and Leader newspapers.

Kirsty Vis

Originally from New Zealand, Kirsty has completed a Bachelors of Performing and Screen Arts, runs a childrens music, dance and yoga programme, taught Latin and Ballroom dance in Melbourne and is also a talented singer. Hooping is something that started off as a hobby and after a few courses quickly became a passion and addiction!
Kirsty completed the Puzzle Dust Circus teacher training in 2012 and is now teaching multiple classes across Melbourne. She loves being involved with the hooping community and hopes to share the hoop joy with as many people as possible. 

Olivia Watts

Olivia Watts is an ex elite rhythmic gymnast who fell in love with the circus at 15. She began full time circus training in 2010 and is currently in her second year at NICA (the National Institute of Circus Arts) specialising in hula hoops. She has performed across Australia and New Zealand and most recently appeared on Australia’s Got Talent. She has extensive training in hoops splits and contortion hooping but she loves just getting creative with hoops and helping others to do the same.

Karen Edelenbos (Miss Ellaneous)

Karen has taught circus for the past 6 years and has been performing professionally since 2006. Karen has performed on ABC TV and Foxtel, at the Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, and for Crown Casino and Museum Victoria just to name a few. She has taught at Circa, Westside Circus, Little Big Tops and Circus Oz and now runs our ever-popular Circus Hula Hoop courses!

Jess Herman

What’s the time? It’s Hoop o’clock! All the way from London, Jess Herman joins us as a new teacher in 2012 to share her unique and super fun UK hoop dance style. Jess has been performing with fire since 2003 and developed a serious hoop addiction in 2009. Jess has performed with fire, glow and hula hoops at night clubs, festivals and parties around the world. Jess' teaching style is all about fun and games, and she encourages everyone to let loose, get in the hoop and have a go!

Chris Bennett

Chris has been performing with fire since 2003, and has been the creative director of performance troupe 'Carnival of the Divine Imagination' since 2007. Chris runs fun and friendly fire twirling classes for all abilities and loves sharing this unique and beautiful art form.
