Join Josie Jupiter for a friendly and relaxed 6 week hula hoop course for fun, fitness or even performance! It doesn't matter which level you're at, Josie has 13 years of experience and can offer skills/moves to suit you. Even if you've never tried hooping before, come along and meet other lovely hoopers and learn how to find your flow in the hoop! And for those with experience, let's level up with off-body tech, on-body splitting, and twins or triples! We'll start each class with a warm-up and some basics that every hooper needs to practice to stay hoop-fit, then we'll learn tricks with intermediate and advanced variations. And of course, we'll practice joining your moves together so you can eventually flow flawlessly in the hoop!
The Nitty Gritty:
Unfortunately if you can't make it to a class we don't offer make-ups, transfers to another course or refunds. You are welcome to send a friend in your place the week you are absent but by booking you are pre-buying your non-refundable place in all 6 weeks of class. We hope you can come to all classes and become the hoop rock star you were destined to be!
What style of hooping do you teach?
Josie teaches a blend of hoop dance and circus hula hooping techniques so you will get a great technical foundation and the skills to flow gracefully from one move to another.
What if I have an injury or medical condition?
Please seek advice from your medical practitioner before attending class and only participate if they give you the go-ahead. Hooping is low to no-impact and we have variations we can give you but we cannot advise on medical matters.
Can I bring my child to join in?
These are adult classes and it can be distracting if kids are also participating so we don't offer this course to kids under 12 years old. Of course you are welcome to bring the little one along if they have another activity to do and know they are not joining in the class.
I just wanted to thank you, and to say how much Annette and I enjoyed your hula hoop lesson on 8 August. We had so much fun!! It got me moving at last... So it was an overwhelming success!! I have been telling friends as I think so many people would enjoy these classes.
