Hoop & Hoop Class FAQ's
HOOP FAQs
Which hoop is right for me?
If you want a heavier hoop that stays up easily then the Large Hoop is for you.
If you can keep the hoop up already and want more of a challenge (and if you want your abs to pop!) then we recommend hooping a Light Weight or smaller hoop at a fast speed.
Still not sure? Consider these points or contact us for advice:
The heavier the hoop is, the slower it moves and the easier it is to hoop on your waist
The lighter a hoop is, the faster it can go for off body tricks but the more co-ordination and force is required for on body tricks.
How do I stop my hoop from getting scratched and wrecked?
Your hoop will look sparkly and new when it arrives. To maintain the tape try not to repeatedly drop it on textured surfaces, like concrete or asphalt. We recommend practicing on a soft surface like grass or carpet and don't let inexperienced hoopers be careless with your hoop!
How do I choose an item without trying it first?
If you are unsure about an item please contact us before you make a purchase and we are happy to help you choose the best product for you. All hoops are hand-made with love and we want you to have the right hoop for you.
HOOP CLASS FAQs
What is Hoop Dance?
Hoop Dance is different to the hula hooping you remember as a child. We use bigger, heavier hoops that rotate slowly around your body so you have time to do tricks and dance inside the hoop. So even if you think you can't hoop, with one of these hoops you can!
What are the benefits of Hooping?
There are so many, we had to list them on a separate page!
I can't make it to the classes you run. Is there anything I can do?
We offer Private and Semi-Private lessons that are perfect for people with busy schedules. Or if you have a group of 5 or more we can arrange to hold a class at a time that suits you. Contact us for more details.
I'm busy/ I missed some of the nights of the course - can I make them up later?
Unfortunately we cannot keep track of class sizes and student skill levels if we allow make-up classes. As a hooper we know you understand that we need room to move safely and an overfilled class is no fun! That's why we pre-book classes. Please make sure before you book in that you are free at class times.
